How much does it cost to attend?
Our event is absolutely FREE all three days, however since it is run by volunteers including the managers that put on the event we ask that donations are made for parking and for the event.

Do you accept credit/debit cards? Is there a cash machine on-site?
We accept all types of payments, Cash, Cards and contactless. Most stall holders will also accept cards.

Are Dogs Allowed?
Here at the we love Hythe Life food festival, we love dogs and are more than happy for your well-behaved, four-legged friends to come along to enjoy the fun. Please note, however, that all dogs must remain on a lead at all times and that owners must clean up after their dogs.
Please remember dogs can die in hot cars, so never leave your dog in a car on a hot day. If it is a really warm day, we advise you leave your four-legged-friends at home.

Do you cater for vegetarians and other dietary requirements?
We always try to ensure that we book a mixed and interesting variety of traders, to suit all tastes; including, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. All of our traders will also be able to advise you regarding allergens in their products. So please do chat to our lovely traders themselves, they have lots of delicious treats for you and will be more than happy to talk to you about them.

Is there anything for children to do?
We believe that a proper day out isn’t complete without plenty of entertainment for the little ones. We know only too well, that if we can keep the children happy and amused that helps to make sure everybody has a fabulous, fun day!

Can I bring my own food and drink?
No, we would politely ask that you do not bring your own food and drink. We have some fantastic food and drink available at all of our Events, so please leave your picnics at home and give our exhibitors a whirl. There is always lots of choice to cater for every taste! You are of course welcome to bring baby food and we understand that if you have specialist dietary requirements you may also need to bring some of your own food.

Can I bring alcohol?
No, due to licensing laws it is strictly prohibited to bring your own alcohol. There is a huge bar at the event, to cater for all tastes. Only alcohol purchased onsite and which is licensed to sell alcohol may be consumed during the Event. Any guests found to be bringing in and/or consuming their own alcohol and/or consuming alcohol purchased from a trader that is selling for off-site consumption only will be escorted from the venue.
Glass bottles are also not permitted at any of our events, for safety reasons (other than to purchase and consume at home). So, please do not bring any glass bottles with you (even if non-alcoholic) and for any glass bottles purchased off our exhibitors, please wait until you are home, to open them.
We Love Hythe Life operates a Challenge 25 Policy and a zero tolerance underage drinking policy. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 and are unable to produce ID evidencing that you are 18 years old or over, when trying to purchase alcohol at GBFF regrettably you will not be served.

What are the bar prices like?
We keep our prices as reasonable and similar to the local bar/pub prices – not over inflated like some events. So, leave the car at home and join us for the day.

How many stalls are there?
This varies every year, usually between 40-80 food stalls, from all corners of the world, with some craft stalls and take home products included too.

Where do I park?
There is ample free car parking on the Hythe Green.
Disabled parking for blue badge holders, is as close as we can get you to the entrance to our site.

What if the weather is bad?
The We love Hythe Life festival will go ahead in all weather conditions, come rain or shine. In the unlikely event that severe weather conditions, we may have to close the doors for health and safety reasons. So please come dressed for the weather. Remember, we are based outside on fields, so if it rains it will get muddy! So on those days, it’s best to wear wellies/old trainers, rather than flip flops or your best sandals!
We always recommend bringing a lightweight coat/waterproof too, just incase. Also, remember to be prepared for any sunny weather, by sticking in some sunscreen.

I have lost something during my visit, what should I do?
If you have left anything behind/lost anything whilst visiting us at the festival, please email our team on festival@hythelife.org.uk with full details of the date that you attended and we will do our best to help you. However, we are constantly monitoring the UK Government’s updates and guidance in respect of COVID 19. We will continue to do so and ensure that all such advice and guidance is followed, in order that the health and safety of everybody attending or working at the festival is protected and so that we can proceed in a safe and COVID 19 responsible and secure manner.
Things may look a little different this year than in previous years, in order that we can deliver that.

Are there any Health and Safety Rules I should know about?
In order to ensure your own safety and enjoyment (and the safety of our other visitors and staff), all visitors must remain within the areas on site designated for public access. All visitors must refrain from entering any areas marked as private/no access to public and/or marked as restricted access by way of hazard signs/barriers, etc.
